Russian UAVs attack railway infrastructure in three oblasts, damaging train carriages and locomotive

A Russian UAV struck and destroyed a train carriage in Kharkiv Oblast on 5 May at around 07:30.

Details: Meanwhile, a Russian drone struck between railway tracks near a diesel locomotive in Poltava Oblast. No casualties were recorded. A carriage was damaged and a fire broke out as a result of the explosion.

Another strike targeted a station in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. An electric locomotive standing on the track was damaged during the UAV attack.

"The train had been stopped earlier due to a drone threat. Therefore staff had been warned in advance and were in shelters. There are no casualties," Kuleba said.

Background: Russia struck railway infrastructure in Kryvyi Rih on 23 April, damaging one of the city's railway stations.
