Ukraine officially allows Russia to hold Victory Day parade in Moscow: Zelenskyy signs decree
Ukraine has officially authorised Russia to hold its Victory Day parade as part of the ceasefire arrangement. [Victory Day is a Russian holiday commemorating the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany in 1945, celebrated on 9 May – ed.]

Quote: "Taking into account numerous requests, for humanitarian purposes outlined during negotiations with the American side on 8 May 2026, I hereby decree:
the holding of a parade in the city of Moscow (Russian Federation) on 9 May 2026 shall be permitted.
For the duration of the parade (from 10:00 Kyiv time on 9 May 2026), the territorial square of Red Square shall be excluded from the operational plan for the use of Ukrainian weapons." [Red Square is the central square in Moscow and is located next to the Kremlin; military parades are often held there – ed.]
