Quote: "Today, the front line was far from quiet – there was fighting. We have documented all of this. We can also see that Russia has no intention of ending this war, and, unfortunately, we are bracing for new attacks. But there must be peace. This is exactly what we are working for. The defence of Ukraine, Ukraine's independence and security for our people are what matters most."
Details: Zelenskyy added that Ukraine's military command and Ministry of Defence are continuing preparations for armed forces reform, which is expected to begin in June.
He noted that Ukraine expects to receive the first tranches of the European Union's €90 billion support package in June.
The president added that the United States continues to pay attention to Russia's war against Ukraine despite the ongoing war involving Iran.
Quote: "Rustem Umierov, Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council, reported on the results of his meetings in the United States. The meetings took place both at the political level and at the technological level – with American companies."
Background: Despite the three-day "truce" in the war between Ukraine and Russia announced by US President Donald Trump, Russian forces continued attacks along the entire front line; 180 combat clashes occurred over the past day.
