Another three countries ready to join agreement on Special Tribunal for Russia

Montenegro, Romania and San Marino have informed the Council of Europe of their readiness to join the enlarged partial agreement on establishing the Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression committed by Russia against Ukraine.

Details: The minister noted that 32 states are now ready to join the agreement.
Quote: "The momentum is growing. We are preparing for the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe to approve the agreement on Friday in Moldova.
We urge all countries to join us and ensure accountability for the crime of aggression against Ukraine."
Background:
- The agreement on establishing the special tribunal will be put to a vote at a meeting of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe on 14-15 May in Chișinău.
- Ukraine expects that the tribunal will consider not only the actions of top Russian officials but also those of states that provided direct support to Moscow in the war against Ukraine.
