Ukraine's General Staff confirms drone strikes on two Russian oil facilities
Ukraine's defence forces struck the Kstovo oil refinery in Russia's Nizhny Novgorod Oblast on 18 May and an oil pumping station in Russia's Yaroslavl Oblast on 19 May.

Details: The General Staff said that the Kstovo refinery is one of the largest oil refining plants in Russia. The refinery has a processing capacity of approximately 17 million tonnes of oil per year. It produces petrol, diesel fuel and aviation fuel used to meet the needs of Russian forces.
According to the Ukrainian military, a fire was recorded on the facility's premises. The extent of the damage is being confirmed.
On 19 May, Ukrainian forces struck the Yaroslavl-3 oil pumping station near the settlement of Semibratovo in Yaroslavl Oblast.

Background: Explosions were heard in the Russian city of Yaroslavl on the morning of 19 May. Authorities said the region had come under a UAV attack and that a drone had struck an industrial facility. A motorway towards Moscow was temporarily closed, while the target may have been an oil refinery located in the south-west of the city.
