Details: Video recorded by the studios' employees shows shattered window glass, while the most significant impact occurred on the road in front of the building. A crater was left at the site, and heating and sewage infrastructure were damaged.
In April, Ukraine's Ministry of Culture added the film studio to the list of cultural and media institutions considered critically important by the state during martial law.
The European Film Academy has also included the Oleksandr Dovzhenko National Film Studios in its list of "Treasures of European Film Culture". The academy noted that the studios, founded in Kyiv in 1927 and named after Ukrainian film director and screenwriter Oleksandr Dovzhenko, has become one of the most important film studios in Eastern Europe over nearly a century of existence.
Background: Production facilities at the studios, as well as part of its hotel building, were damaged in the summer of 2025. The blast wave shattered about 90 windows.
