Details: The fresh sanctions target Luhansk Communications and Mobile Communication Systems, which Russia uses to disseminate narratives and disinformation about the situation in Ukraine.

Measures have also been imposed on federal satellite and telecommunications operator Amtel-Svyaz, which provides communications services, including for Russian authorities, as well as Satellite Communications Company, which supplies secure communication channels used in Russia's war against Ukraine.

Ukraine will transmit data on the sanctioned companies to its partners and raise the issue of synchronising restrictions across other jurisdictions.

Background: Earlier, Zelenskyy signed decrees implementing a National Security and Defence Council decision imposing sanctions on Russian and Iranian companies that service the Russian military-industrial complex.
