Details: The plant is located in the city of Armiansk in temporarily occupied Crimea.
Quote: "The largest plant in Eastern Europe, a sprawling facility located in Armiansk and currently owned by Russky Titan (illegally seized, like everything else, during the occupation of Crimea), produces titanium dioxide."
More details: The Russians use products from the Krymskyi Tytan plant for protective and stealth coatings for military equipment. The facility also produces sulphuric acid, a basic substance used in gunpowder, rocket fuel and explosives.
The strike on the plant was carried out by drone operators from the 1st Separate Centre of the Unmanned Systems Forces of Ukraine.
Quote: "Live monitoring data have confirmed that the targets have been hit. A fire is raging. Production has been suspended."
Background: It was reported earlier that Ukrainian forces had hit a military plant in Russia's Cheboksary with Flamingo missiles on the night of 9-10 June. The plant manufactures components for drones and missiles used by the Russian armed forces.
