Estonia contributes extra €125,000 to Ukraine Energy Support Fund

Estonia is contributing an additional €125,000 to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund, bringing its total contribution to €2.75 million.

Details: The ministry stressed the importance of strengthening the protection of energy infrastructure and improving the resilience of Ukraine's energy system in the face of continued Russian attacks.
"Estonia has been a consistent supporter of Ukraine's energy sector, providing over €3 million in donations, equipment and technical assistance to help keep critical systems running," the ministry said.
Background:
- The Swedish government has approved a new aid package worth almost SEK 1.5 billion (around €140 million) for Ukraine's energy sector in 2026 to help prepare for winter.
- At the fourth G7+ Ukraine Energy Coordination Group in Gdańsk, Poland, Kyiv's partners also announced new contributions totalling €375 million to support Ukraine's energy sector.
- In April, Ukraine's partners pledged approximately €100 million in additional contributions to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund.
