Russia lacks forces to cross Dnipro River in Kherson Oblast but is terrorising civilians with strikes, Ukrainian marines say
Russian forces on the Prydniprovskyi front, unable to conduct assault operations on the left bank of the Dnipro River and in the island area of the delta, are terrorising civilians with strikes.

Details: Drohal said Russian forces have conducted virtually no assault operations on the left bank of the Dnipro over the past two weeks. He noted that the Russians are still making very active use of strike drones, carrying out barbaric attacks on both the Kherson and Nikopol areas. Most of the strikes hit residential buildings, critical infrastructure and public transport.
Drohal added that Marine Corps units are working to counter these Russian actions. He said Russian attempts to establish a foothold in the island area of the Dnipro delta have effectively been thwarted, with no such activity by Russian forces currently observed.
Quote: "Russian logistics on the left bank of the Dnipro River are currently being actively targeted and destroyed. In June, our units destroyed more than 500 enemy cars and motorcycles. The occupation forces are being forced to use more mobile fire groups to protect their vehicles, supplies and personnel. They are also having to look for alternative routes because they can no longer use their usual roads. All of this is costing them time and resources, reducing the effectiveness of enemy units.
Regarding Russian attempts to cross the Dnipro River, we currently see no evidence that they have the assets and personnel needed to carry out such an operation. It's very challenging geography, very challenging terrain, and the assets and personnel that the enemy has deployed in the area are not sufficient to cross the Dnipro River. Unfortunately, however, the enemy still has enough capacity to terrorise civilians, and they're constantly trying to do that. We are working to counter those efforts."
