Details: A commission has now been established to inspect the damaged cultural heritage sites and assess the scale of destruction.
The ministry noted that the initial emergency works are aimed at protecting the premises from further damage and creating conditions for the restoration of the studio's production activities.
As a result of the Russian attack, 18 buildings on the studio's premises were damaged, including monuments of history, science and technology of national and local significance.
Among the affected buildings are the main filming pavilion dating from 1927-1928, administrative and laboratory buildings, the Shchors building known as the Film Factory Museum, utility buildings, combined filming workshops, the canteen, power station, film archive, dormitory and other facilities.
According to the Ministry of Culture, roofs, windows, walls and interior spaces were damaged. Engineering systems such as electricity supply, water supply and sewage were also partially destroyed.
The greatest losses were caused by a direct hit on the costume department, which housed one of Ukraine's largest collections of stage and film costumes.
This included a collection of footwear and hats from various periods, as well as a significant number of military uniforms from the First and Second World Wars, the studio's director general said.
Meanwhile, some unique items were saved as they had been held in museums and exhibitions. In particular, costumes from the films Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors and Chasing Two Hares were preserved.
