Russia's Tatarstan reports damage to facilities in Nizhnekamsk following drone attack – photos, video

The authorities in Russia's Tatarstan have reported damage to certain facilities in the city of Nizhnekamsk following a drone attack.

Details: Telegram channels reported that the Nizhnekamskneftekhim petrochemical complex may have been struck, with fires breaking out following drone strikes.

According to an OSINT analysis by ASTRA, a fire broke out in the Nizhnekamsk industrial zone, where TAIF-NK JSC, Tatneft's TANECO refinery and NKNK (Nizhnekamskneftekhim) are located.

As ASTRA notes, footage from eyewitnesses shows a drone falling in the area of the TAIF-NK facility, which is located next to the TANECO refinery. NKNK also operates in the same industrial zone.

TAIF-NK is a large oil refining complex in Nizhnekamsk. TANECO is part of the Tatneft structure. NKNK is one of Russia's largest petrochemical complexes, producing, among other things, synthetic rubber, plastics and ethylene.

Background: On the night of 7-8 July, drones struck the Russian cities of Saratov and Borisoglebsk, where fires broke out, including at a refinery.
