Details: According to Ukrainska Pravda sources in law enforcement, the suspect is Stanislav Dyaminov, a native of Kazan, Russia.

Investigators say Dyaminov is an energy-sector expert with experience at industry companies. Using his professional contacts, he supposedly sought senior management positions at Ukrainian energy companies.

According to the investigation, with the backing of Russian secret services, he attempted to obtain a top executive role at a company that holds a monopoly position in Ukraine's energy sector.

Prosecutors say that had he been appointed, Russian intelligence could have gained access to information about vulnerabilities, security systems and the operation of Ukraine's critical energy infrastructure.

The Office of the Prosecutor General said the suspect had been recruited before Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. His activities were allegedly coordinated by an officer from the Fifth Service of Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB).

He has been notified that he is under suspicion of treason committed under martial law, an offence punishable by up to 15 years' imprisonment and confiscation of property.

Background: On 26 September 2025, the Security Service of Ukraine detained an IT specialist employed by one of Ukraine's leading energy companies in Kyiv Oblast, accusing him of spying for the FSB.
