Ukrainian foreign minister: Ukraine and its allies are giving Putin a chance to avoid collapse
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has said that the proposals put forward by Ukraine and its allies offer Russian ruler Vladimir Putin a chance to avoid collapse.

Details: According to Sybiha, Ukraine's partners have reached a common assessment that the front line has stabilised and that Ukraine is achieving success.
Quote: "Ukraine is effectively conducting asymmetric operations that are significantly strengthening our negotiating position. I think it is becoming increasingly clear – not just clear, but strikingly obvious – that the war has not merely failed to go according to Putin's plan; it is leading him towards collapse.
And the proposals that Ukraine has today, with the support of our allies, undoubtedly offer Putin a chance to end this war and, in effect, avoid collapse."
Background:
- On 8 July, Sybiha took part in a meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council in Ankara, where he briefed partners on the consequences of Russia's recent attacks, as well as Ukraine's successes on the battlefield, in the defence industry and in long-range strikes against Russia.
- During the NATO summit in Ankara, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that securing interceptor missiles for Patriot air defence systems would be the key issue in his discussions with Kyiv's partners at the NATO summit, stressing that the missiles can be obtained from countries other than the United States.
