Russian forces have attacked a warehouse used by the Ranok publishing house and the KnyhoLend chain of bookshops in Kharkiv.

Details: The strike on the warehouse caused a fire, and Ranok's textbooks caught fire, Kruhlov said.

Chytomo reports that the warehouse also stored books from other publishers within the RNK-Ranok group of companies: Fabula, Zhorzh, Shche Odnu Storinku, Readberry, Korali Books, Varvar and others.

Following the strike on the warehouse, KnyhoLend has temporarily stopped accepting orders on its website. The chain used this warehouse to store books and dispatch online orders.

KnyhoLend's physical bookshops continue to operate.

Background: In 2025, Ukraine registered 117 new companies and sole proprietors whose main activity is book publishing – the highest number recorded in the past five years.
