Ukrainian forces strike Russian attack drones storage site and ground-based repeaters – Ukrainian General Staff

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has reported that Ukrainian troops have struck a site storing attack drones, logistics warehouses, command posts and ground-based repeaters belonging to Russian forces.

Details: The strikes took place on 20 August and on the night of 20-21 August.

According to the Ukrainian military, a site used to store, prepare and launch attack drones was struck near the temporarily occupied city of Donetsk.

A Russian logistics warehouse was also hit in Novosilske in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

Ukrainian forces also struck two Russian command posts – in Zaporizke, Donetsk Oblast, and Kobylne, Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

Among other targets, six ground-based repeaters used to control Geran/Gerbera-type attack drones were struck in the temporarily occupied Crimea: two in Sterehushche, three near Olenivka and one in Chornomorske.

For reference: A ground-based repeater transmits control and communication signals between an operator and a drone, extending the range and improving the stability of its operation.
