Former defence minister Mykhailo Fedorov has not yet decided whether or how he would participate in elections if they are held in Ukraine.

Details: According to the sources, Fedorov "is not currently saying clearly whether he will run for president, but he is not ruling out this option". Everything, they say, will become clearer closer to the election process.
Fedorov's team also considers two other possible options for his participation: he could support a particular candidate or party, or not take part in the elections at all, instead focusing entirely on his work at a private company.
Meanwhile, the former minister already plans to devote part of his time to the issue of democratic voting.
"He wants to bring together the best election experts in the world, meet with every person who hates this topic. Explain that the only way forward for us is to prepare for elections," one member of Fedorov's team said.
Background:
- In an address on 18 August, Fedorov called for measures to ensure that Russia does not get to decide when Ukrainians can once again elect their government.
- BBC sources reported that the Office of the President sees "a lack of realism" in Fedorov's idea of holding elections.
