Ukrainian company UForce unveils new Magura naval drone that can launch other unmanned systems

Ukrainian company UForce has expanded its Magura family of naval drones with a new model – the V11.

Details: The V11 was showcased during an Independence Day parade on the Dnipro River alongside other Magura models.

One of the V11's key features is its ability to carry and launch other unmanned systems from aboard, allowing the drone to serve as a mobile maritime base.

According to the developers, the V11 is the largest drone in its class. Unlike previous models in the Magura family, it was designed as a transport platform with a payload capacity of up to 2,200 kg.

The V11 has a stated endurance of up to seven days and is designed to operate far from shore.

The V11 is also intended for reconnaissance and surveillance, support for amphibious operations, and the supply of fuel and equipment to other unmanned maritime systems. The developers say the drone can perform these tasks around the clock and in all weathers.

The V11 was developed by UForce's design and R&D bureau in Portugal with international investment. The platform is designed to support the operational needs of Ukraine's defence forces.

UForce CEO Oleh Rohynskyi said: "This is a platform that enables multi-domain operations: a single carrier that transports and launches other unmanned systems far from shore for operations across all domains. The investments attracted by UForce... are being used to meet the needs of Ukraine's defence forces."

Background: It was previously reported that US company ReconCraft would begin manufacturing Ukrainian Magura uncrewed maritime platforms in the United States in partnership with Ukrainian company UForce.
