All of Lukoil's major Russian refineries halted after damage

Russia's Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez refinery in Nizhny Novgorod suspended crude oil processing on 26 August following a Ukrainian drone attack.

Details: The refinery is the fourth-largest in Russia by capacity and the country's second-largest producer of petrol.

Reuters sources said the drone attack had damaged several processing units, inter-unit infrastructure and plant-wide facilities.

They were unable to say how long repairs would take or when crude processing could resume at the refinery.

All of Lukoil's major Russian refineries are currently offline. The Perm refinery halted operations following a drone attack on 21 August, while the Volgograd refinery stopped operating after an attack on 31 July.

Background: Deep-strike (long-range) units of Ukraine's Special Operations Forces, working with the Unmanned Systems Forces and other defence forces units, struck Russia's fourth-largest oil refinery, the Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez, on the night of 25-26 August.
