Kyiv under drone attack: debris lands in Kyiv's Holosiivskyi and Pecherskyi districts, sport facility damaged

Kyiv has been under Russian drone attack. Air defence systems are responding in the capital and an air-raid warning remains in force. Debris from downed drones has landed in the Holosiivskyi and Pecherskyi districts, damaging a car and a sport facility.

Update: The Kyiv City Military Administration has clarified that a car caught fire in the Holosiivskyi district as a result of the attack. The fire has since been extinguished.

In the Pecherskyi district, debris from downed aerial assets landed on a non-residential area and damaged a sport facility.

Videos showing smoke around the Lobanovskyi Stadium are also circulating on social media. The State Emergency Service told UP it could not yet confirm or deny the reports, as rescue teams had not yet reached the scene.

Details: According to Klitschko, debris has also landed in a non-residential area in the Pecherskyi district. Emergency services are heading to the site.

Klitschko reported earlier that air defence forces were responding in the capital and that Russian drones were flying over the city.

The Air Force also warned that attack drones were moving erratically through the airspace over Kyiv. The military separately reported jet-powered UAVs moving from the Kyiv Reservoir area towards Vyshhorod and Kyiv.

According to the air-raid warnings map, an air-raid warning was issued in Kyiv at 09:54.

Background: Two educational institutions and a municipal medical facility have been damaged in Kyiv's Shevchenkivskyi district and debris from downed aerial assets has landed between residential buildings in the Podilskyi district as a result of the latest Russian attack on the Ukrainian capital.
