Russian attack on Kyiv: number injured rises to seven, six-storey building partially destroyed and medical facility damaged – photo

Russian forces attacked the National University of Food Technologies in Kyiv with drones during the day on 2 September. The strike occurred while classes were underway.

A total of 160 students and teaching staff were unharmed as they were in a shelter at the time.

Details: Butenko said the university buildings have been damaged in the attack. However, no one at the university was injured.

The university's Department of Foreign Languages for Professional Purposes reported on Instagram that several buildings have been damaged. Nevertheless, it noted that "information is being gathered on the number of casualties".

"It was only yesterday that the new academic year began. And already on the second day, the enemy has launched a vile attack on the university. A strike on an educational institution is always about more than damaged walls or shattered windows. Above all, it poses a threat to the people who study, teach and work here," Butenko wrote.
