Ukrainian drone wins: Navy shows first-ever naval drone battle

Ukrainian forces have used a naval drone to destroy a Russian unmanned boat in the Black Sea. According to the Ukrainian Navy, this was the first-ever battle between naval drones.

Details: A Russian surface drone was detected in the Black Sea by units of Defence Intelligence of Ukraine. The Ukrainian military used a Sargan 3000 naval drone equipped with a 12.7 mm Protector RWS automatic turret.

"A Ukrainian Sargan destroyed a Russian unmanned boat. The Ukrainian Navy, in cooperation with Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, conducted a successful operation in the Black Sea and destroyed a Russian unmanned boat. This is the first-ever naval battle between unmanned boats," the Navy said.

Ukraine's defence forces have already used the Sargan 3000 naval drone in operations in the Black Sea. In July, Ukrainian sailors sank a Russian 2nd rank border patrol vessel near Novorossiysk using this unmanned naval system.
