Details: According to UP sources, Kravchenko crossed the border at 02:30 in an official car. Early information indicates that Kravchenko used a business trip to Lithuania as the grounds for crossing the border.
According to AntAC, Kravchenko signed the notice of suspicion against Semen Kryvonos, Head of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU), in exchange for the opportunity to flee the country.
Before leaving Ukraine, Kravchenko recorded a video alleging that Kryvonos and a person close to the head of the Specialised Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) had committed crimes.
AntAC says that such a departure was only possible with the consent and authorisation of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Background:
- Kravchenko said earlier that he had signed a notice of suspicion against Kryvonos and accused NABU and SAPO of seizing materials from proceedings against their employees during searches conducted as part of Operation Carthage in order to halt procedural decisions in those cases.
- After this, Zelenskyy called on parliament to urgently support Kravchenko's dismissal.
