Ukraine's 3rd Army Corps says it has crippled Russia's elite Rubicon drone unit

Ukraine's 3rd Army Corps has said that in the course of the Operation Vivaldi offensive in northern Donetsk Oblast, it has inflicted losses on Russia's elite Rubicon drone unit that have forced the Russian command to withdraw it from the Lyman-Borova front.

Quote: "Fighters from the 3rd Army Corps have inflicted losses on the elite Russian drone unit in the course of the Operation Vivaldi offensive. The enemy command has been forced to withdraw Rubicon from the Lyman-Borova front.

Soldiers from the 3rd Army Corps have disabled Rubicon's command-and-control system, destroying its logistics, ammunition depots, drone launch sites and newly formed units and killing their experienced drone operators. The Russians are now no longer able to quickly replenish the unit with equipment and trained personnel.

Losing personnel and equipment and being unable to deploy because of Ukrainian electronic warfare and air defence systems, the enemy began to abandon its positions, leaving equipment behind. To preserve what remained of the unit, the Russian command has decided to redeploy Rubicon to another sector."

Details: The 3rd Army Corps said the Russians had initially deployed Rubicon to the Lyman-Borova front as a priority area.

For reference: Rubicon is a Russian military centre for advanced unmanned systems within the Russian armed forces, specialising in the use of attack drones, FPV drones and reconnaissance UAVs.
