Details: The operator of Luxembourg's only international airport said the suspension of flights on Friday was introduced as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of passengers, airline crews, airport staff and aircraft.

The airport provided no details about the origin of the drones or who was operating them.

The airport resumed operations on Saturday morning. Although flights have resumed, some delays and disruptions to the schedule may continue as airlines and airport partners work to resume normal operations, the airport said.

Luxembourg Airport, the main hub of the country's national carrier Luxair, said it continues to monitor the situation in cooperation with the relevant authorities.
