Ukrainian forces strike Russian refineries in Perm and Novoshakhtinsk – video

Ukraine's defence forces struck two oil refineries, a defence plant and a radar station on Russian territory on the night of 24-25 September.

Details: Zelenskyy reported the Iskra Plant defence plant in the Russian city of Ulyanovsk was also hit, along with two Russian radar stations in Rostov Oblast.

The General Staff clarified that the Lukoil-Permnefteorgsintez oil refinery was struck in the city of Perm. The facility has a processing capacity of around 13 million tonnes of oil per year. It produces fuel and other petroleum products and is involved in supplying fuel and lubricants for Russia's military needs.

The Novoshakhtinsk oil refinery was struck in Novoshakhtinsk. The facility has a processing capacity of around 7.5 million tonnes of oil per year. The Novoshakhtinsk refinery is a major supplier of petroleum products in southern Russia and also supports the country's military supply chain.

In addition, 64L6 Gamma-S1 and 39N6 Kasta-2E2 radar stations were struck in the area of Novoshakhtinsk.

Background: Reuters, citing Yuri Slyusar, Governor of Rostov Oblast, reported earlier that the Novoshakhtinsk oil refinery in the Rostov Oblast in Russia has temporarily halted operations following the overnight drone attack.
