Russians strike residential area in Zaporizhzhia, killing five, including two children, and injuring 11 – photos, video
Russian forces have struck a five-storey residential building in the city of Zaporizhzhia in a guided aerial bomb attack on the morning of 10 October. Five people have been killed, including two children, and 11 injured.

The strike has partially destroyed one section of the apartment block. Structural elements at first-floor level have collapsed."
Details: At around 05:00, Ukraine's Air Force reported that Russian tactical aircraft had launched guided aerial bombs towards Zaporizhzhia.
"A hit has destroyed a five-storey apartment block and damaged other residential buildings. We already have information about the injured and people trapped under the rubble," Zaporizhzhia Oblast Defence Council said.
Update: At 06:00, Semikin reported that two people had been killed and two injured in the attack. Search and rescue operations were underway.
As of 07:05, four fatalities had been confirmed. Three people sustained minor injuries, one of whom was taken to hospital.
"One more person may still be trapped under the rubble. Rescue workers are continuing the search," Semikin said.
Update at 07:45: Ivan Fedorov, co-chair of Zaporizhzhia Oblast Defence Council, said that four people had been killed, including a child. The number of people injured had risen to 11.
Quote from Fedorov: "Two children have been injured: a 14-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy. Both are in a moderately serious condition. Two people are in a serious condition, two have minor injuries and another seven are in a moderately serious condition. Four people have been hospitalised, five are receiving outpatient treatment and another two are undergoing medical examinations."
Details: Fedorov said that the attack had damaged at least 26 residential buildings: 23 apartment blocks and three houses in the Shevchenkivskyi and Voznesenivskyi districts.
As of 08:05, the death toll from the Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia that morning had risen to five, including two children.
