Details: Russian forces attacked energy facilities in Zhytomyr, Volyn, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Khmelnytskyi and Rivne oblasts. Energy workers have begun emergency repair work wherever the security situation allows.
Separately, new power outages caused by attacks and hostilities have been recorded in Donetsk and Kharkiv oblasts. In Odesa and Ternopil oblasts, work continues to repair equipment and networks damaged in previous attacks.
The Energy Ministry noted that repair work is being complicated by prolonged air-raid warnings and the threat of further strikes.
Background: On 23 October, it was reported that one of private energy company DTEK's thermal power plants had stopped generating electricity following a large-scale Russian attack. The plant's equipment sustained significant damage.
