Details: Footage showing a large fire in Kstovo began circulating on social media at around 04:11 this morning. Local residents reported explosions in the city, while monitoring Telegram channels said the Kstovo oil refinery had come under attack, with a major fire breaking out at several locations across the facility.

According to monitoring channels, the drones managed to strike the refinery despite Russian air defence forces having previously repelled attempts to attack the facility.

There have been no official comments from the local authorities so far. It is also unknown what weapons were used in the attack.

In addition, Exilenova+ reported a possible attack on the Novogorkovskaya combined heat and power plant, which is also located in Kstovo. It supplies energy to local industry, including petrochemical facilities. However, reports that it was hit require separate confirmation.

For reference: The Kstovo oil refinery is one of Russia's largest oil refineries. Its design capacity is around 17 million tonnes of oil per year. By this measure, it ranks fourth among Russian refineries, while it ranks second in terms of motor petrol production.
