DTEK, the largest private energy company in Ukraine, has attributed the worsening electricity supply situation to a change in Russian tactics and an increased intensity of attacks on energy infrastructure.

Details: Answering the question of whether power engineers had prepared for the attacks, DTEK stated: "We prepared for them. However, Russia is constantly changing its attack tactics and increasing their intensity."

According to the company, the Russians have carried out 78 strikes on energy infrastructure in the last three days alone. Both power plants and electricity transmission facilities are coming under attack.

Severe damage requires significant effort and time to repair. Meanwhile, constant air-raid warnings and the threat of repeat strikes complicate the work of repair crews, DTEK noted.

Power engineers continue to restore damaged equipment around the clock.

Background: The day before, DTEK explained that the frequent cancellations and reinstatements of emergency power outages were caused by constant attacks, noting that the situation in the energy system can change even several times an hour.
