Details: The strikes on Russian targets were carried out on 6 November and on the night of 6-7 November. The extent of the damage to the Iskander launchers is being confirmed.
"The significance of this strike is already clear. Every Iskander launcher put out of action reduces the Russian army's ability to launch ballistic missile strikes against Ukrainian cities," the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said, commenting on the strike.
In addition to the Iskander launchers, Ukrainian forces also targeted a Pantsir-S1 surface-to-air missile and anti-aircraft artillery system in Russia's Bryansk Oblast.
The defence forces also struck Russian military logistics depots near Sokolohirsk and Zaaidarivka in Luhansk Oblast, as well as a gathering point for Russian drone operators near Novobohdanivka in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
Russia uses the Iskander operational-tactical missile system to launch missile strikes against Ukraine. The system is used to fire Iskander-M ballistic missiles and Iskander-K cruise missiles.
Background: On the night of 6-7 November, Ukraine's defence forces struck the Proton-Electroteks plant in the Russian city of Oryol with Neptune missiles. The facility manufactures components for aircraft and ballistic missiles used by the Russian army.
