Speaking on air on Channel 5, Culture Minister Yevhen Nyshchuk said that Ukraine lacks a concert hall ready to host Eurovision 2017, Interfax-Ukraine [ed.: the text of this hyperlink is in the Ukrainian language] reports.

"We don’t have an indoor stage to meet the requirements and host the necessary number of spectators," he says. Olimpiyskiy Stadium is an outdoor arena, and installing a cover would be technically challenging.

According to Nyshchuk, Lviv is considering to construct such a concert hall. "In fact, any big city including Kyiv needs such an arena. It would be a good venue to host big forums, concerts, performances," he added.

He believes that Kyiv can build a modern concert hall on the banks of the Dnipro.
