Andriy Shevchenko, the lead prosecutor in the murder of Pavel Sheremet informed that experts from the FBI forwarded evidence to a US-based lab in order to continue examining the improvised explosive device used to blow up the car Pavel Sheremet was driving.

"It was an IED, not an army-issued explosive device," — Shevchenko noted. However, he noted that most of the elements of this IED were army-issued and added that currently police are considering who could have manufactured this IED.

Currently, the FBI is determining the composition of the explosive. Approximately 500 grams of TNT were used. Prosecutor Shevchenko also noted that the law enforcement team is currently examining 140 terrabytes of video footage obtained from CCTV cameras installed by private businesses and other entities near the place where Sheremet lived.

Shevchenko noted that in some of the videos the facial features of the suspects are clearly visible. The investigators established that the suspected man is 168—175 cm tall and had a ‘Spanish’ beard, the suspected woman is 5 cm shorter than her partner in crime. The man was wearing a cap, the woman was wearing a hoodie.

As Dmytro Holovin, the Chief of the Criminal Investigation Department of the National Police had noted, the suspects did not hide their faces, which according to him means that they either are not local or that they are not afraid of their crime being uncovered.

Recently, stills from the CCTV videos appeared which show the faces of the suspects more clearly.
