Russian invaders destroyed the Kremenchuk refinery

The Russian occupiers attacked Kremenchuk, in particular, they fired en masse at the Kremenchuk refinery and the surrounding fuel and lubricants depots.

This was announced by the head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration Dmytro Lunin.

"Unfortunately, the company's infrastructure has been destroyed. The plant is not working. Our rescuers continue to heroically put out the fire," Lunin said.

Several people were injured, they received burns, but their lives are not in danger, the head of the Regional Military Administration added. It is noted that there is no environmental catastrophe, and the State Emergency Service is monitoring the situation.

"I ask the residents of Poltava region not to line up for petrol and not to create an artificial shortage. The war is ongoing in Ukraine, the situation is extremely difficult, but it is completely controlled," he said.

Kremenchuk Refinery (PJSC Ukrtatnafta) is the largest (and only) refinery in Ukraine with a design capacity of 18.6 million tons. The ownership structure of the refinery is as follows: 43.05% of shares belong to the state oil company  Naftogaz Ukrainy, the rest is divided between Igor Kolomoisky and Olexandr Yaroslavsky.

Russian troops fired on infrastructure facilities in the city of Myrhorod, Poltava region, and damaged the airport's runway.

It was reported that the shelling of Kremenchuk also continued: the industrial zone was hit causing a fire.
