The Armed Forces of Ukraine repulsed 9 Russian attacks and destroyed 21 pieces of Russian military equipment on Saturday, 21 May. Fighting continues in 4 locations.

Quote from Joint Forces Task Force: "Over the course of today [Saturday, 21 May], soldiers of the Joint Force Task force destroyed 5 enemy tanks, 4 artillery systems, 10 armoured combat vehicles, and 2 motor vehicles.

Air defence forces shot down 1 Orlan-10 unmanned aerial vehicle from the sky over Ukrainian Donbas."

Details: In the area covered by the Skhid Task Force, Ukraine’s defenders killed 28 Russian soldiers, 1 armoured combat vehicle, 1 artillery system, 1 mortar, and 1 artillery tractor.

The Joint Forces Task Force reports that Russian troops shelled over 40 towns and villages along the front line in Donbas, destroying 30 civilian objects. 7 civilians were killed and another 7 were wounded in the Donetsk region.

Russian occupation forces destroyed or damaged 13 residential buildings, 4 factories, an industrial research institution, a foreign language institute, a railway station, a music school, 2 fire and rescue stations, part of a gas pipeline, a high-voltage electricity line, a cemetery, and a number of industrial and farming facilities.

Earlier: On 20 May, Ukraine’s defenders destroyed 32 pieces of Russian equipment and repulsed 11 Russian attacks in the Donbas region.
