Trump cites "some difficult problems" in Ukraine, sees "good chance" for "peace deal"
US President Donald Trump has expressed some optimism about the talks between US and Ukrainian representatives held on Sunday 30 November in Florida, saying there is a "good chance" of a "peace deal", while also mentioning "some difficult problems" in Ukraine linked to corruption.

Details: Trump said there is a "good chance" of reaching a deal to stop Russia's war in Ukraine.
However, commenting on the resignation of Andrii Yermak, the head of the President's Office, he stated that corruption in Ukraine "is not helpful".
Trump added that the talks are "going along, and they're going along well. We want to stop people from being killed."
He said he had spoken with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff after their negotiations with Ukrainian officials on Sunday.
"I've spoken to them and they're doing well. Ukraine's got some difficult problems, but I think Russia would like to see it end," Trump said while travelling from Florida to Washington.
When asked to clarify what those "difficult problems" were, Trump pointed to the "corruption situation going on, which is not helpful".

Details: Trump noted that there are currently no deadlines for concluding the talks.
Previously: Talks between Ukrainian and US representatives in Florida have concluded and both sides described them as productive.
Rustem Umierov, the head of the Ukrainian delegation, said he had briefed President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the results.
