Sunday, 1 January 2023, 11:04

The head of National Energy Company of Ukraine Ukrenergo, Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, said that there is a possibility of a complete blackout, but in practice he does not see such a danger now.

This was reported by Volodymyr Kudrytskyi on air during the 24/7 national joint newscast.

Answering the question whether a total blackout is possible in Ukraine, Kudrytskyi said that there is such a threat in theory, but in practice he does not see such a danger right now.

"I believe that we have already passed the worst with the missile attacks, I really hope so. The dynamics of these attacks and the effect of those attacks show that the Russians have less and less ability to cause any disturbances in our energy system," added Kudrytskyi.

He also noted that energy workers have also grown accustomed to the new missile attacks by the terrorist state on our energy system. Therefore, Russian troops can demonstrate little new on the battlefield against the Ukrainian energy system.
