The Prime Minister has called on partners to cooperate, in particular, in the format of G7 patronage over the mined Ukrainian regions. He has pointed out that humanitarian mine clearance helps Ukraine bring life back to its liberated territories and will allow for the implementation of other reconstruction projects, including critical and transport infrastructure.

Shmyhal has said that the EU, the US, Canada and Japan are currently leading the way in supporting humanitarian mine action. To date, US$16 million in international technical assistance has been raised, with preliminary agreements for another US$73 million.
