Quote: "The operational situation on the eastern front remains tense.

After a month of fierce fighting and significant losses on the Kupiansk and Lyman fronts, the enemy is regrouping its forces and means, and simultaneously transferring newly formed brigades and divisions from the territory of the Russian Federation.

The main goal of these measures is to increase the level of combat potential and resume active offensive actions."

Details: Syrskyi says the Russians continue to conduct powerful attacks from artillery and mortars and are making extensive use of aircraft.

Under such conditions, the defenders must promptly take all measures to strengthen Ukraine’s defences in the critical directions and to advance where possible.

Syrskyi said his trip to the Kupiansk and Lyman fronts was planned for the implementation of these tasks: "During the work together with the commanders of operational-tactical groups and brigade commanders, all necessary decisions were made and measures taken to strengthen our defence and repel enemy attacks."
