Quote by Shurma when asked "Who commissioned the investigation?": "I did not speak about it openly earlier but now I will say directly: it was Kolomoiskyi."

Details: Bihus.Info replied that "the top official has officially spread false information" and "this is a complete lie".

The agency added that in 10 years of work, it conducted and made public at least 10 investigations about Kolomoiskyi's gimmicks.

Quote: "We have been monitoring corruption schemes of the oligarch in different times, detecting increase and fall of his political influence, and our most recent material about Kolomoiskyi was published at the end of 2022.

This material is about the schemes arranged by Ihor Kolomoiskyi at the Ukrnafta [Ukrainian oil company – ed.] which is, as Shurma thinks, the reason why Kolomoiskyi is taking his revenge on him with the help of journalists (maybe, he indeed does take his revenge via someone but definitely not via Bihus.Info)…

So we are convinced that the Deputy Head of the President's Office is trying to shift the focus from the fact, that even he himself has confirmed, by making up stories: his brother’s solar station received millions [of hryvnias] for power allegedly produced in occupation."

Background:

  • On 17 August, the investigation by Bihus.Info about the Russia-occupied Ukrainian solar stations was published. The stations, co-owned by associates of Shurma, were paid according to a "green tariff" until summer 2023 even though they were unlikely connected to the united power system of Ukraine.
  • It mainly concerns Ltd KD Energy 2 and Ltd Renewable Energy of Zaporizhzhia, co-owned by Oleh Shurma, brother of Rostyslav Shurma. Two more companies, Ltd Green Energy Tokmak and Ltd Grandpower LLC, are co-owned by Ruslan Bozhko, former subordinate of Rostyslav Shurma considered a person close to him.
  • Shurma confirmed that his brother was paid by the Harantovanyi Pokupets (Guaranteed Buyer) State Enterprise for the energy produced by solar power stations located in the occupied territories. However, not only him but "all other companies" were also paid.
