Zelenskyy talks to Qatari leader about Ukrainian children and Middle East

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, had a conversation with Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar on 22 October. Zelenskyy has thanked his Qatari counterpart for humanitarian aid and mediation in the process of bringing the Ukrainian children kidnapped by Russia back to Ukraine.

Details: They have also discussed the situation in the Middle East and agreed on the importance of de-escalating the conflict, seeking peace and protecting civilians.

Zelenskyy also stressed that Ukraine is determined to continue cooperating to bring Ukrainian children back home.

He noted the critical necessity of uninterrupted work of humanitarian corridors for the evacuation of civilians and delivery of humanitarian aid.
