Quote: "Originally published in Ukraine, this sweet, strange, lightly philosophical book, illustrated with soft, scribbly drawings, features newborn twin moles who live in a whimsically imagined woodland community. The title comes from the moles' belief that when they die they will rise to the clouds and make the snow for those left behind."

Details: Who Will Make the Snow? is Marjana and Taras Prokhasko's first book for children. For Marjana Prokhasko, it was also her first experience as an illustrator.

The New York Times’ recommendations included the English edition of the book, which was translated by Boris Dralyuk and Jennifer Croft and published by Elsewhere Editions. The original book was published by the Staryi Lev Publishing House, which has congratulated the authors.

"Congratulations to Marjana Prokhasko and Taras Prokhasko. We’re thrilled by this good news!" the publishers wrote.

Who Will Make the Snow? won several awards in Ukraine. It was a winner of the BBC Book of the Year 2013 competition in the Children's category, received a LitAccent of the Year 2013 award in the Poetry and Prose for Children category, and took first place in the Children's Holiday category of Book of the Year 2013.

On an international level, Who Will Make the Snow? was included in the White Ravens catalogue published by the International Youth Library in 2014.
