Poles lift blockade at Medyka-Shehyni checkpoint

The Poles have ceased blocking the Medyka-Shehyni checkpoint on the evening of 6 January.

Quote: "Based on the information provided by the Polish Border Guard, the protest action in front of the Medyka-Shehyni checkpoint ended at 21:00 (Kyiv time) today.

Customs clearance and passage of lorries entering Ukraine is carried out as usual."

Details: Demchenko noted that border guards are working together with inspection personnel to ensure as many freight vehicles as possible pass through. There are currently 650 lorries queuing to enter Ukraine at the Medyka-Shehyni checkpoint.
