Efforts are underway to restore the Ukrainian medical infrastructure that has been damaged by the Russian Federation since the start of the full-scale war in Ukraine. To date, 510 medical institutions have been completely restored.

Details: The ministry also stated that another 355 medical institutions had been partially reconstructed or were in the process of being restored.

Quote: "These are medical facilities in the de-occupied territories, as well as those that have suffered minor damage: broken windows, roof and facade damage, etc. Most of the restored medical facilities are located in Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Kharkiv and Chernihiv [oblasts]," the Ministry of Health said.

The ministry also emphasised that since the start of the full-scale invasion, the Russians damaged 1,591 medical institutions and levelled 210 more. Medical institutions in Kharkiv, Donetsk, Mykolaiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia oblasts saw the largest losses.

In addition, the Russian army damaged 161 emergency medical vehicles, destroyed 261 vehicles, and captured 125 vehicles.

Background: In Kyiv, 1,000 objects of energy equipment destroyed by Russian bombardment were repaired. This accounts for 70% of the equipment struck by missiles and Shahed UAVs.
