Russians trying to seize Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant and seeking IAEA support – Ukraine's foreign minister
The Russians are attempting to gain the support of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in their bid to take over the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP).

Details: According to Sybiha, Russia has laid 200 kilometres of power lines on the left bank of Dnipro in preparation to seize the plant, connect it to its power grid and restart operations.
Quote from Sybiha: "However, the Russian attempt to reconnect the ZNPP may be the worst yet, posing the greatest risks. Moscow is actively attempting to enlist the IAEA in this adventure and justify its theft of the ZNPP.
Such a scenario is a road to an irreversible collapse of the peaceful nuclear order created by the IAEA."
More details: Sybiha also said that Ukraine demands that the agency take a principled stance, affirming that the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant must be returned to Ukraine, its lawful owner.
"We urge all nations concerned about nuclear safety and security to make it clear to Moscow that its nuclear gamble must end," the foreign minister added.
Background: The external power supply to the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP has been cut off for more than three days, marking a record outage and raising safety concerns for the plant.
