Details: According to DeepState, Russian troops captured 259 sq km in September – the smallest gain since May, representing a 44% drop compared to August. In total, they occupied 0.04% of Ukraine's territory that month, bringing overall Russian-held areas to 19.04%.

DeepState noted that the largest losses occurred on the Novopavlivka front, accounting for 53% of the territory captured in September.

Quote: "Novopavlivka is the most problematic front. The number of advances here is much higher than assault actions, and the recent personnel decisions in this area do not inspire much hope for improvement."

More details: The analysts note that on the Pokrovsk front, Ukrainian defences remain effective.

Quote: "Every metre here costs significantly more. Moreover, the Russians have approached the city from the south, and fighting in forested areas versus urban ones involves completely different levels of complexity."
