Man dies in Dnipro strike less than two weeks after his wedding

A man injured in a Russian strike on the city of Dnipro, Yaroslav, died on 30 September 2025, just one and a half weeks after marrying his beloved Bohdana. His life was claimed when an attack drone hit a building in the city centre.

Quote from Bohdana: "I did not even get the chance to update my documents when I was suddenly widowed. My heart is broken, I do not know how I will cope with this loss because we were everything to each other.

You were the best person I ever knew. Words cannot express how much I love you."

Details: Bohdana also shared memories of Yaroslav, including messages from his brother Serhii, who said the attack by the Russian UAV on a civilian building took his brother's life.

Quote from Serhii: "You were the brightest, kindest, most sincere and best brother and person in the whole world! Although you were younger than me, that did not stop you being a role model in so many ways. I love you so much, brother!

But on 30 September 2025, the country that always takes the brightest and kindest people away took your life [...] It is a total and immeasurable devastation."

Background: Russian attack drones struck the city of Dnipro on 30 September 2025, resulting in fires, damaging more than 15 buildings, including medical and educational facilities, and destroying over 20 cars.
