Quote: "The Armed Forces of Ukraine must employ effective solutions every day and night to repel this threat. I held another working meeting on enhancing our capabilities in fighting Russian attack UAVs."

Details: Syrskyi stated that the Russians constantly change their tactics for using UAVs. The Russian forces have intensified strikes on frontline areas and border regions, actively attacking critical infrastructure and civilian targets.

Quote: "A number of decisions have been made to strengthen air defence in these areas, including by increasing the number of interceptor drone crews.

We continue to build up the capabilities of units that counter enemy UAVs specifically using interceptors. Today, most of the Russian combat drones are destroyed by such means. The systematic expansion of relevant units is underway. Training is increasing and additional training facilities are being created to ensure quality instruction."

Details: According to Syrskyi, work is also underway to improve the Russian UAV detection system, which increases the effectiveness of their destruction.

Quote: "The Air Defence Unmanned Systems Command is being established as part of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We are also developing other countermeasures, including the destruction of Russian drones with attack helicopters and light aircraft. New crews are being deployed. The use of light aircraft allows effective engagement of Russian UAVs at higher altitudes. Therefore, we are training new aircraft crews to perform these tasks."

More details: Syrskyi also noted that the defence forces and manufacturers are jointly working to improve and introduce new types of interceptor drones.

Quote: "We must accelerate the development and deployment of these systems into defence forces, as in a technological competition, the enemy constantly improves their capabilities.

I have set the necessary tasks for all involved structures – primarily to increase the effectiveness of drone destruction and to deploy new units equipped with interceptor drones."
