Since the beginning of the year, Moscow has received RUB 6.61 trillion (about US$81 billion) from oil and gas sales. In 2024, the figure exceeded RUB 8 trillion (about US$98 billion).

Background: The Russian government expects contributions from the oil and gas sector to the state budget this year to fall to their lowest level since the 2020 pandemic due to declining fuel prices and a stronger rouble.
