Ukraine's defence forces strike Russian oil refinery, missile ship and other targets overnight

The Ukrainian military has confirmed that a number of important Russian facilities and targets were struck on the night of 3-4 October, including an oil refinery.

Details: It is noted that the Ukrainians struck the Kirishi Refinery run by Kirishinefteorgsintez in Leningrad Oblast, with explosions and a fire reported.

The General Staff emphasises that this is one of the largest oil refineries in Russia, with an annual capacity of 18.4 million tonnes of oil processing per year.

Also, in the area of Lake Onega in Karelia, the small missile ship Buyan-M was damaged, with unknown losses.

In addition, Ukraine's defence forces struck a Garmon radar station and a transport and loading vehicle belonging to the Iskander missile system in Kursk Oblast, as well as a command post of the 8th Army of the Russian armed forces, stationed in the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk Oblast.

Background: On the night of 3-4 October, strike drones attacked the city of Kirishi in Russia's Leningrad Oblast, hitting the Kirishi Refinery, one of the country's largest oil refineries.
